I'm Tia,

I've been competing in the 100 and 200 metres for as long as I can remember, and it has shaped everything about who I am. But over the last few years, a series of injuries took me away from competing - and instead of stepping away from athletics altogether, I found a new way to stay close to the sport I love.

I now work in sports marketing, with experience working alongside Diamond League athletes, Vinco Sport, and leading marketing for Durham University Sport. Capturing athletes in their element, telling their story through a lens - it felt like the most natural thing in the world. That's what led me here.

I am a 100 and 200 metre sprinter and I started athletics when I was 8 years old. Despite not winning a race in my first 10 years, I immediately fell in love with the sport as I purely enjoyed the feeling of racing. It was just a social hobby until I began taking it more seriously around 2020 where my performances started to improve and by 2022 I started to see the fruits of my labour by earning my first England vest and starting to compete internationally.

As an athlete, I understand how difficult it can be to find good quality photos and what those photos represent - hours of training and resilience - which is why we started Sidelines, to capture the results of your hard work in a single frame.
